Telephone: 01386 852 711 Fax: 01386 858 636 ![]() The Champagne was flowing at the Dormy House Hotel in Broadway on
Sunday 9th September 2007 as hundreds of guests filled the hotel to
celebrate its Staff, both past and present, attended along with VIP’s, suppliers and other people from across the industry to raise a glass to Jørgen Philip-Sørensen, who purchased the Dormy House Hotel (previously also known as Willersey Hill Farm) with the intention of developing it as the training centre for Group 4, not as an hotel at all. But when he concluded that a more modern facility would perhaps be more suitable for training, he made the intuitive decision to go into the hotel business, and has been busy transforming it ever since. Visitors enjoyed a buffet lunch, champagne reception and fairground attractions before toasting his 30 years in the business. The Dormy House Hotel is the only hotel in the area to have been privately owned for so long and has built up a reputation for providing guests with a good, old fashioned and friendly welcome but with a touch of formality too. Orazio Pollaci, Sales and Marketing Manager, said that the celebrations
were enjoyed by all and were a true reflection of what the Dormy House
Hotel represents. Mr Jørgen Philip-Sørensen gave a speech and planted a tree to commemorate the occasion, and looking back, not even for one moment has he ever regretted his decision to open a hotel. He is delighted that so many people have enjoyed happy times here at the Dormy House Hotel, and hopes they will do in the future.
